WHAT IS PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY?
2 - How does it help?

 
Talking with a psychoanalytic psychotherapist helps you uncover and explore emotional and relationship difficulties. This leads to a greater understanding of not only why and how these problems may have arisen, but also the factors maintaining these issues in your present experiences.

One of the ways in which this understanding can be explored is through your unfolding relationship with the psychotherapist.

This can at first seem strange, but in time as the relationship develops, issues can be worked through because this therapeutic relationship is immediate and open to interpretation. In other words, your general emotional and relationship problems can be worked on through your relationship with the therapist.
